Hammer Nutrition buys meals to support restaurants
Hammer Nutrition has been supporting local restaurants forced to close their dining rooms by purchasing take-out lunches for its employees in recent weeks.
The company has purchased just under 200 meals from six different restaurants as an initiative started by Hammer Nutrition founder and owner Brian Frank.
“We know it’s challenging for restaurants these days and we want to support our local businesses,” Hammer Nutrition Creative Manager Joseph Perry said. “They’re our neighbors and we want to do what we can during this challenging time.”
They’ve purchased around 30 to 40 meals each day from restaurants, like Orient Express, Wrap and Roll, Tea Kettle Asian Kitchen, The Farmhouse Inn and Kitchen, Swift Creek Café, Ed McGrew’s BBQ, Señor Montana Tacos, the Wich Haus and Piggyback BBQ on Friday.
Restaurants have been forced to close their dining rooms due to the coronavirus pandemic and have only been allowed to offer carry-out or drive-through service.
