Bulldog golfers dominate at home to start season

The Bulldogs golf team got a start to be proud of, dominating their home meet last Tuesday.
Both the boys and girls claimed team titles as well as individual champions.
On the boys side, Cameron Kahle finished 1-over-par and four shots ahead of Polson’s Trey Kelley to take first overall with a 73. Andrew Brozek took third with an 82.
The boys team as a whole posted a combined score of 326. Frenchtown came in second with 361 and Columbia Falls 369.
Ella Shaw was the individual girls champion. She shot an 87 and was the lone girl to break 90 on the day. Megan Archibald took second with a 93 and Anyah Cripe took fourth with a 95 after a third place tiebreaker.
The following day they traveled to Columbia Falls for the Wildcats’ own invitational.
Kahle took another individual championship shooting an even 72 on the day. Ella Shaw took second with an 82.
The team also competed in the Ronan Invitational on Thursday.
This week they’ll head down to the Frenchtown Invite on Wednesday and Thursday. The invitational starts at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. on Thursday.
