Qunell careful in decision-making

I support Steve Qunell for City Council.

I have known Steve since we served on the Planning Board together beginning in 2006 — during the explosive growth before the big recession. Back then the city planning and zoning jurisdiction extended up to 2 miles beyond the city limits known as the doughnut. Those were some tense and interesting times.

What I observed about Steve is that he learned the business of the Planning Board quickly and he asked a lot of questions to city staff and of applicants for developments. It was clear then, as it is now, that Steve carefully considers all of the moving parts in making a decision that will affect all of us here in Whitefish.

He doesn’t come down consistently on one side or another and he doesn’t represent any certain ideology.

In short, he is fair, honest and he lets you know what he thinks. That’s why I’ll be voting for Steve on Nov. 5 and I encourage you do to do the same.
