| October 1, 2019 3:38 PM

Rob Verdi, a professional saxophonist direct from Disneyland, will entertain at the Whitefish Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 12.

His program will begin at 3 p.m.

In addition to his weekly performances at Disneyland, he enjoys some time on the road playing at interesting local venues. He has played previously at Whitefish Lake Lodge and Grouse Mountain Resort. His repertoire is quite varied, but will focus mostly on big band swing and popular jazz standards from the 1930s to the 1950s. Expect to hear tributes to the great music of Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Nat King Cole, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and others.

He will be traveling with his personal collection of rare and unusual saxophones. You will get a glimpse of these fine instruments, as well as some related history. He will incorporate some of these very special instruments into the program.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors or students.
