No. 2521 BUDGET AMENDMENT PROCLAMATION WHITEFISH SCHOOL DISTRICT FLATHEAD COUNTY At a regular meeting of the board of trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, held November 12, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Whitefish School District Board Room, the following resolution was introduced: WHEREAS, the trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, have made a determination that as a result of the need to address deferred maintenance items including parking lot resurfacing, playground update, carpet replacement, Middle School gym ceiling replacement, Middle School gym floor refinish, football shed replacement, installation of remote locking main entry door, installation of vape detectors, bell and clock system upgrade, replacement of HVAC belts and filters, replacement of existing non-filtered water fountains with filtered ones, additional bike racks and lockers, campus directional signage, furniture, new career counseling center, custodial equipment, portable audio systems, lighting retrofit, interior paint, new rain gutters, compost bins, small truck for District-wide purposes, replacement of lunch/receiving van with all-wheel-drive van, installation of solar charging vehicle station, unit ventilator, and fiber optic network for maintenance area, the district's budgets for the Elementary and High School General Funds do not provide sufficient financing to properly maintain and support the district for the entire current school fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the trustees have determined that amendments to the Elementary General Fund budget in the amount of $600,000 and the High School General Fund budget in the amount of $600,000 is necessary under the provision of Section 20-9-161 (6), MCA; for the purpose of addressing the safety of students and staff and the educational functions of the district. WHEREAS, the anticipated source of financing the budget amendment expenditures shall be Elementary and High School General Fund Reserves; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, proclaims a need for amendments to the Elementary General Fund budget in the amount of $600,000 and the High School General Fund in the amount of $600,000 for fiscal year 2020 under Section 20-9-161 (6), MCA, for the purpose identified above, and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Whitefish School District Board Room on December 10, 2019 for the purpose of considering and adopting the budget amendment. No. 2522 BUDGET AMENDMENT PROCLAMATION WHITEFISH SCHOOL DISTRICT FLATHEAD COUNTY At a regular meeting of the board of trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, held November 12, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Whitefish School District Board Room, the following resolution was introduced: WHEREAS, the trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, have made a determination that as a result of the unanticipated enrollment increase, the district's budget for the High School General Fund does not provide sufficient financing to properly maintain and support the district for the entire current school fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the trustees have determined that an amendment to the High School General Fund budget in the amount of $117,581.34 is necessary under the provision of Section 20-9-161 (1), MCA, for the purpose of addressing the educational functions of the district. WHEREAS, the anticipated source of financing the budget amendment expenditures shall be additional Direct State Aid. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, proclaims a need for an amendment to the High School General Fund budget in the amount of $117,581.34 for Fiscal year 2020 under Section 20-9-161 (1), MCA, for the purpose identified above, and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No.44, Flathead County, Montana, will meet at 7 p.m. at the Whitefish School District Board Room on December 10, 2019 for the purpose of considering and adopting the budget amendment.
