Chorale features songs with heart

Experience beautiful choral music both time-tested and new, expressing the many conditions of the human heart during the Glacier Symphony, Orchestra and Chorale’s With One Voice performances this week.
The 37th season of the Glacier Symphony, Orchestra and Chorale “The Music Makers” continues with performances on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center and on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. at Glacier High School.
The performances feature songs of love, joy, and loss; desire, prayer, and memory, both sweet and bitter. Micah Hunter serves as conductor for the performances.
Music to be performed, includes “Beautiful Savior” arranged by James Stanard, “Hard Times, Come Again No More” by Stephen Foster and arranged by Gerald Custer, “Echo” by Micah Hunter, “The Pasture” by Z. Randall Stroope, “Kyrie eleison from Missa Brevis, K. 275 by W.A. Mozart, “Gloria” from “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi, “With Drooping Wings from Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell, “A Glimpse of Snow and Evergreen” from Pictures from the Northwest by Vijay Singh, “Rain” from Pictures from the Northwest by Vijay Singh, “Hear My Prayer” by Moses Hogan, and “Shenandoah” arranged by James Erb.
Free student tickets through grade 12 are available for this Masterwork concert. Part of the Glacier Symphony Youth Music Experience program is underwritten by this season’s YME sponsors. Free student tickets are for Tiers 2 and 3.
