Bulldogs wrestling head coach Ryan Boyle has decided to step down from his post after eight years.

Boyle, an industrial technology teacher at the high school, is leaving the post to have more time for his family, Activities Director Aric Harris said, but will continue to coach football in the fall.

Boyle took the job in 2010.

Last year his team had two placers at the state tournament, Nathan Sproul and Dakota Flannery, and sent a handful more to the tournament despite a younger roster than recent years.

Harris said the job was posted internally last week.
