Art auction benefits Muldown
Muldown Elementary School is holding a silent auction of collaborative art pieces created by every grade level during its annual Mully Night on Thursday, March 14.
Whitefish School District Superintendent Heather Davis Schmidt said Muldown art and Spanish teacher Kate Hunter has had her students hard at work making their art pieces for the fundraiser.
“Mully Night is a long tradition and a great fundraiser for the elementary school,” Davis Schmidt said. “Those art pieces are going to be available for sale by auction at Mully Night, and we’re hopeful that some of our community business owners will buy those and display them in their businesses.”
Davis Schmidt says the fundraiser is a way to showcase Muldown’s talent as well as support the school.
“We’d love to get more of our student created art out into the community. I don’t know if the community is aware of the talent that exists in our schools, but it’s really remarkable,” she said.

Mully Night starts at 5:30 p.m. at Muldown on Thursday.
