FVSEF sends 23 skiers to regional events

Twenty-three skiers from the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation teams have been selected to compete in the Western Region and Northern Division Championship events at Sun Valley, Idaho, Jackson, Wyoming and Big Sky.

Western Region is one of three major regions in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association. In addition to Montana, the region includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, California, Nevada and Alaska. The skiers qualified for these Championships during December, January and February events hosted at Whitefish Mountain Resort, Red Lodge, Big Sky, Bridger Bowl (Bozeman) and Snow Bowl (Missoula).

The U16 Western Region Championships will be hosted at Sun Valley, Idaho, on March 13-17. FVSEF skiers Colin Harper, Tyler Anderson, Burke Fox and Jordon Jurasek will attend with coach Kurt Nelson. The U16 Regional Championships will qualify skiers for the U16 National Championships at Breckenridge, Colorado, on March 29–April 2.

The U14 Western Region Championships will be held at Big Sky on March 20–24. FVSEF skiers Brodie Kneeland, Christian Lund and Wyatt Breck (alternate) are selected to attend the event along with coach Jamin Patten.

The Tri-Divisional Championships will be held at Jackson, Wyoming, on March 21-24. FVSEF will be represented by skiers Tess Lewison, Raiya McCutcheon, Addison Bahr, Campbell Fox, Wyatt Breck, Buren Brust, Cale Fox and Carson Keim (alternate) along with coach Roy Loman.

The Northern Division Youth Ski League Championship Jamboree will be held at Big Sky, on March 14-17. FVSEF skiers Katie Hersom, Kellie Klepper, Diego and Isla Bourgard-Duncan, Kira Pataalo, Rylan Veikle, Melody McNally and Buren Brust will be attending with coaches Madeline Williams and Roy Loman.
