Police calls: deer requires rescue

Friday, Feb. 22

8:28 a.m. A deer was stuck in the Whitefish River.

10:05 a.m. Drivers were needing to swerve around some milk crates scattered along Highway 93 South.

Saturday, Feb. 23

12:35 p.m. A black wallet with a Canadian driver’s license was lost downtown.

12:58 p.m. A concerned caller wanted to make sure her friend had made it to a motel after drinking the previous night.

Sunday, Feb. 24

10:06 a.m. a conflict arose in a Second Street business after an employee was reprimanded for changing his clothes in the kitchen.

10:28 a.m. A woman who received a photo of an unknown man’s genitals in response to an online job listing worried the incident was related to “possible sex trafficking.”

8:36 p.m. A water main break appeared to be flooding the area around Depot Park.

Monday, Feb. 25

1:56 p.m. A man kept entering a local casino with the intent of sleeping inside it.

3:25 p.m. A deer that had survived the winter with a broken leg collapsed in the caller’s driveway.

3:50 p.m. A caller was frustrated with what appeared to be downtown restaurant employees smoking marijuana.
