No. 2499 Upper Swede Timber Sale: The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC), Stillwater Unit is proposing the Upper Swede Timber Sale located approximately 7 miles northeast of Olney, MT and approximately 18 miles northwest of Whitefish, MT, in Flathead County. The proposal would harvest 3-5 million board feet (MMBF) from approximately 250 to 350 acres within a 2,024-acre project area and would generate revenue for the Common Schools Trust (K-12).
