Police calls: Wedding ring lost somewhere in Montana

Friday, July 12

7:38 a.m. A Spruce Court resident was frustrated with their neighbor leaving their garbage cans out for days.

8:42 a.m. A transient was fast asleep next to a Central Avenue bar.

1:25 p.m. A wedding ring was missing somewhere, the caller said, possibly in Whitefish or maybe in Glacier National Park.

2:21 p.m. A girl’s bike was stolen at the Farmers Market earlier in the week.

2:54 p.m. The caller noticed their vehicle had been rummaged through on Green Place.

6:18 p.m. A Baker Avenue caller wanted to make a citizen’s arrest after some parked cars blocked their driveway.

Saturday, July 13

8:32 a.m. A Spruce Court caller’s neighbor still hadn’t moved their trash cans.

1:53 p.m. A Kalispell Avenue resident and some kids got into an argument after he assumed they were spying from atop a shed.

2:12 p.m. A woman on Kalispell Avenue was upset with the man taking pictures of her son and his friends as they collected sap from a tree.

3:02 p.m. A Louis Vuitton wallet was stolen from a vehicle overnight on Highway 93.

11:04 p.m. A caller was concerned with all the drunk people walking home from the Under the Big Sky festival.

Sunday, July 14

1:19 a.m. A car crashed into multiple vehicles in a parking lot off Central Avenue.

12:39 p.m. A Fourth Street caller suspected her neighbors of possessing a “whole lot of pot.”

12:56 p.m. A caller’s angry ex kicked a bunch of pots and threw an air compressor on the ground off Fox Farm Drive.

2:36 p.m. Someone vandalized a 10 Commandments sign on a Highway 93 church property.

Monday, July 15

2:25 a.m. A man appeared to be sleeping on a Depot Street sidewalk, but he was just waiting for a cab.

10:12 a.m. Some bicycles were missing behind a Spokane Avenue building. Theft was not suspected, but rather that neighborhood kids had just borrowed them.
