The Govenettio family, left, brought 19 siblings and in-laws from Buffalo, New York, to watch Leonard Govenettio perform with Jameson and the Sordid Seeds at the Under the Big Sky festival on Saturday. The family surprised Leonard, who has lived in Whitefish since 2003, before the concert, and the group was at the front of the line to cheer him on during the festival — complete with matching shirts. Leonard’s brother Dominick said it was an emotional experience, and he’s grateful to have been able to support Leonard with the family. “He never had prom, never had a big wedding, never had a birthday party,” Dominick said. “We were crying. To see him have that moment that all of us took for granted, it was great.” Right, Leonard performs during the festival.

The festival featured acts such as Band of Horses and Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, as well as local artists like Jameson and the Sordid Seeds and Mike Murray.
