ATP presents 'Death and the Maiden' reading
Alpine Theatre Project is presenting a free play reading next week and a burlesque show next month.
ATP is holding a free reading of the Olivier-Award winning drama, “Death and the Maiden,” on Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. at the home of Nancy Gordley, 345 Spring Prairie Road in Whitefish. In this taut, psychological thriller by Ariel Dorfman, the mysterious Dr. Miranda ends up staying the night with Gerardo and his wife Paulina, much to the latter’s dismay. Attacking him in his sleep, Paulina binds and gags Miranda, convinced that he is the sadistic doctor who captured and tortured her years before as a political prisoner.
The play reading stars David Ackroyd, Betsi Morrison, Becky Rygg and Luke Walrath. The Outside the Box series is presented free to the public by Great Northern Brewing Company.
ATP hosts a variety of performances and educational programs. ATP is continuing this work for its 15th season with a full year of professional and educational programs for the community.
Tickets can be purchased online at atpwhitefish.org or by calling (406) 862-7469.
