Pilot's top issues survey continues

There’s no doubt that Whitefish is a great place to live, but as in any community there is always room for improvement. Many of the issues or challenges facing the town have come up in public meetings or have been discussed at the coffee shop, while still others may not yet have risen to forefront.

With all this in mind, the Pilot would like to know what the citizens of Whitefish think are the top issues or priorities facing Whitefish.

The Pilot is running an online survey that asks respondents to rank the top issues facing the community — a list of suggested issues has been provided, but there’s also an opportunity to add issues that may not be included on the list.

“We hope to learn more about what the top concerns are for those who are living and working in Whitefish,” Pilot Editor Heidi Desch said. “Our goal is to take the results of the survey and look at some of those issues in greater detail, and while also presenting the results of the survey to in turn hopefully spur greater community conversations for seeking solutions.”

Desch asks that readers let their family and friends know about the survey.

“While we may not be able to reach everyone in Whitefish, we’d like to get as many responses as possible,” she said.

The unscientific survey also includes the chance to provide comment on issues facing the town, and offer any potential solutions.

Also included in the survey, is the opportunity to share what you love about Whitefish because there is also much to be proud about the town, Desch notes.

The survey will run through Jan. 16.
