Lady Dogs fall to Bravettes, Broncs
It was a tale of two halves in the Lady Dogs’ loss to the Flathead Bravettes on Friday.
After one quarter Whitefish led by just a point, and hopes were still high in the face of a 19-14 deficit at halftime.
Then the Bravettes got hot.
Flathead scored 20 to Whitefish’s seven in the second half, with all of Whitefish’s points coming in the fourth quarter, to take the comfortable 39-21 win.
Claire Carloss led the Lady Dogs in scoring with seven, and Hope Brown had five.
The following afternoon the team went to Hamilton for another nonconference matchup, but fell 30-22 to the Lady Broncs.
Scoring was again tough for the Lady Dogs, whose best quarter totaled eight points.
Marlee Bender led all scorers with nine points.
Whitefish will host Columbia Falls Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. and Browning on Saturday at 5 p.m.
