Dogs take fifth in Kalispell

The Whitefish swim team got back in the pool on Saturday in Kalispell, taking fifth in the tournament.
A pack of Bulldogs placed in the meet, including three firsts and two seconds.
Preston Ring took first in the 100 freestyle (48.36) and the 100 breaststroke (1:01.88), while Annie Sullivan beat out Glacier’s Caroline Dye in the 500 freestyle for first place (5:42.30).
Sullivan also took fifth in the 200 freestyle, (2:08.39).
Ada Qunell continued her stellar season with a second in the 100 freestyle (58.31) and a third in the 100 butterfly (1:04.16).
Logan Botner notched a second in the boys 100 butterfly (59.73) as well as a fifth in the 100 freestyle (55:41).
In relays, the girls earned third in the 200 medley, third in the 400 freestyle and fourth in the 200 freestyle, while the boys took third in the 200 freestyle relay.
This week Whitefish and Columbia Falls will host the Dog-Cat Invite at the Wave, starting at noon.
