The Whitefish speech and debate team got back at it in Corvallis over the weekend.

While the team didn’t score enough points to place in sweepstakes, some Bulldogs stood out in their events.

The policy debate team of Dani Mayeaux and Aidan McMahan took third overall. Libby Goldhirsch took eighth in original oratory

Grace Benkelman took fifth in memorized public address.

Sara Mueller, head coach, said she was happy with her team’s performance coming off a long break.

“Even though we were unable to score enough points to place in sweepstakes, the individual performances of students shows real promise for the last month of season. Dani Mayeaux and Aidan McMahan put together a great run to take third after some significant work over break,” she said.

Whitefish will host divisionals on Jan. 19. Interested judges may contact Mueller at 862-8650 x355.
