No. 2472 DNRC Thinning Project Montana's Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Stillwater Unit, is proposing the Ewing Face Pre-Commercial Thinning Project on 193 acres in Sections 2,3,11 & 12, T33N R24W and Section 7, T33N R23W located approximately 7.5 miles northwest of Olney, Montana. The purpose of the proposed thinning is to reduce stand density in order to increase growth, vigor, and health of the remaining trees. This project is in the initial stages of development and public involvement for an environmental analysis.
