Theatre Co. presents master illusionist
Faces that disappear from drivers’ licenses. Paintbrushes will paint on their own. Photographs that literally come to life right before your eyes. Brace yourself for a completely new take on magic as the Whitefish Theatre Company hosts Vitaly and his jaw-dropping show “An Evening Of Wonders.”
Vitaly will perform one night only on March 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
Hailed as one of the most unique and innovative illusionists in the world, Vitaly has mystified fans from all over the world, including Las Vegas superstars Penn & Teller, whom he successfully fooled on their hit TV show, “Fool Us.”
Blending art and illusion with his captivating style, Vitaly’s one-of-a-kind, interactive theatrical experience retraces his journey from a boy with a dream to a man with a vision. From making drawings and paintings come to life to teleporting playing cards from one audience member to another, Vitaly’s signature illusions defy logic and leave even the most jaded audience members awestruck. Called “astounding” and “extremely creative,” Vitaly “breaks down preconceptions to let his audiences’ imaginations explore the realm of the impossible” according to Broadway World.
Born in Belarus, Vitaly began practicing magic at the age of 14. Soon he was developing his own material, entertaining his friends and family. Years later, he would abandon a career in engineering to focus on rebuilding people’s childlike sense of wonder and bridging the gap between dreams and reality. Vitaly has lived in Vancouver since 2008 and has garnered rave reviews at sold-out engagements in Las Vegas, Seattle, Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver, Tel Aviv, Chile, and at his Off-Broadway show in New York City.
A keen observer of human behavior, Vitaly knows that his show offers far more than magic.
“My show is about bringing art to life and reminding us how truly wondrous the world is around us,” he says. “Art and wonder are everywhere if we just open our eyes and see it.”
