Police calls: deer may have hit car

Saturday, Feb. 9

7:08 a.m. A woman locked herself out of her house on Second Street.

11:40 a.m. A Second Street caller reported a stolen handgun.

Sunday, Feb. 10

9:40 a.m. A caller was worried about a man who appeared to be in “bad shape” walking around Baker Avenue.

10:26 a.m. A brown, medium-sized dog was loose on Wisconsin Avenue.

1:47 p.m. A Porsche owner suspected someone kicked in his front fender, but further examination suggested a deer had done the damage. It was not clear who hit who.

9:35 p.m. A Colorado Avenue resident alerted officers to the smell of marijuana in a neighboring apartment.

Monday, Feb. 11

8:05 a.m. A couple of miscreants were spinning donuts in the High School parking lot.

6:31 p.m. A traffic light on 18th Street was malfunctioning and at one point stayed red for over five minutes.

Tuesday, Feb. 12

8:14 a.m. A caller reported her neighbor’s dog tried to attack her child on Park Avenue.

11:44 a.m. A large husky with different colored eyes was wandering around Waverly Place.

Wednesday, Feb. 13

5:26 p.m. A caller witnessed a man punching a dog near Highway 93 South.

Thursday, Feb. 14

9:16 a.m. A man lost his wallet downtown.

2:11 p.m. A caller took some of his roommates’ belongings as collateral after they threatened to move out without paying rent.

2:17 p.m. A caller said he was being threatened after some suspicious looking people took down his license plate number a few days earlier.

7:09 p.m. A drunk, older man fell at a downtown bar.
