The Whitefish School District recently received $10,000 in two donations from the Broussard Charitable Foundation.

The donations were formally accepted during the Whitefish School Board’s Feb. 5 meeting.

The unrestricted donations went to the Whitefish Middle School and Whitefish High School in donations of $5,000.

WMS Principal Josh Branstetter said the funds will be dedicated equally to the middle school football, volleyball and cross country programs.

WHS Principal Kerry Drown said his school’s donations would be put into the Class, Courtesy and Respect (CCR) account that supports a wide variety of student opportunities, such as assemblies, incentive programs, club awards, specialized equipment, student ambassador training, freshmen orientation and more.
