Husky running loose in neighborhood; dog needs rescue from river

Saturday, Feb. 2

12:22 p.m. A Spokane Avenue caller was upset with people not picking up their “dog droppings.”

7:03 p.m. A man had cuts on his leg and face after tumbling down a flight of stairs on Central Avenue.

8:58 p.m. A man was threatening fellow patrons with a knife at a Baker Avenue bar.

10:16 p.m. A woman claimed to have been punched by a drunk man on Spokane Avenue.

Sunday, Feb. 3

2:51 a.m. A friendly caller wanted alert officers that she’ll have food for them during the Super Bowl.

3:04 p.m. An “underdressed” man in a light jacket was walking around parking lots and approaching people in their vehicles off Highway 93.

5:30 p.m. A husky puppy was running loose on Birch Hill Drive.

Monday, Feb. 4

12:03 p.m. A caller wasn’t sure if their credit card was lost or stolen on Central Avenue during the Winter Carnival Parade.

3:12 p.m. A man was being very aggressive after the caller showed concern for the dog left in the man’s car.

5:13 p.m. A dog needed to be rescued from the river after chasing a deer and breaking through the ice. The fire department responded and safely rescued the dog.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

1:06 p.m. A bad-mannered guest stole items from both their room and the gift shop of a business.

11:26 p.m. A caller could see flames and could smell burning from a nearby home on Rick O’Shay Way.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

1:09 p.m. A caller worried about the gruesome scene that a plow would cause if the deer on the side of Pine Avenue wasn’t removed.

Thursday, Feb. 7

8:34 p.m. An employee of a Baker Avenue business found needles and drug paraphernalia that likely belonged to a patron. The needles were for insulin.

Friday, Feb. 8

1:02 p.m. A commercial truck driver wanted to know if he needed a different vehicle to pick up his son in.

1:44 p.m. A Baker Avenue business was given seemingly forged checks.
