Chamber seeks nominations for annual community awards

The Whitefish Chamber is seeking nominations for its 2020 Community Service Awards.

The awards will be announced at the chamber’s annual awards gala on Jan. 30 at the O’Shaughnessy Center.

Each year the chamber recognizes those individuals and businesses who have made outstanding contributions to the Whitefish Community through community involvement, personal and/or business accomplishments, honors received, philanthropic contributions and personal/professional volunteer efforts.

The Great Whitefish Award recognizes and honors one person’s lifetime contributions to our community.

The Citizen of the Year Award is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the betterment of Whitefish, with no expectation of personal financial gain.

The Business of the Year Award is presented to a business that leads by example, contributing to the wellbeing of the community through job creation, innovation, public service, philanthropy and/or volunteerism.

The Tourism Business of the Year Award is given to a business that contributes to the continued development of the town’s tourism industry, while also exhibiting the characteristics described for “Business of the Year” above.
