Police Calls: Dog running in circles, barking

Wednesday, Dec. 11

6:25 a.m. An observant caller noticed the traffic lights on the corner of Montana 40 and Highway 93 were not functioning properly.

12:33 p.m. A dog was barking in Crestwood Court.

4:57 p.m. Someone hit and knocked over a light pole near Smith Fields.

8:32 p.m. A belligerent man was yelling at the caller after he was told he couldn’t return a cell phone he broke.

10:39 p.m. A caller was worried about their neighbor’s open garage door after “all the thefts in the valley.”

Thursday, Dec. 12

8:13 a.m. A caller on Oregon Avenue was frustrated with a telephone wire that hangs above her driveway.

9:46 a.m. A package was stolen from a Kalispell Avenue porch.

11:01 a.m. Dogs were barking on Wisconsin Avenue.

Friday, Dec. 13

6:27 a.m. A dog had been barking for hours on Eighth Street.

6:48 a.m. A caller found a wallet in a trash can at a Highway 93 gas station.

9:33 a.m. A whole bunch of vehicles were ticketed for alternate side parking.

10:53 a.m. The caller was worried about a car that kept passing by slowly the previous night on Somers Avenue.

12:02 p.m. A caller watched a young driver hit a fire hydrant on First Street.

3:19 p.m. A Highway 93 employee was handed a fraudulent check.

3:38 p.m. A caller was frustrated that a man was launching a boat without checking it for aquatic invasive species.

10:31 p.m. A caller thought it was weird that there were no cars but plenty of people at the community center.

Saturday, Dec. 14

9:16 a.m. A dog was barking again on Wisconsin Avenue.

10:34 a.m. A door to a pool area was vandalized on Wisconsin Avenue.

12:02 p.m. A caller believed their neighbor hit her car but was waiting for the neighbor to “do the right thing.”

11:45 p.m. A man tried entering a Second Street condo, as witnessed by the condo owner via video camera.

Sunday, Dec. 15

2:12 p.m. A “small, tan, doodle-type” dog was found on Second Street.

3:18 p.m. A dog was barking again on Wisconsin Avenue.

4:31 p.m. A Spokane Avenue caller was frustrated with his neighbor’s unleashed dogs.

Monday, Dec. 16

3:22 p.m. A black bear was walking around Montana Avenue.

4:34 p.m. A dog was running in circles and barking on Waverly Place. The dog was fine.

Tuesday, Dec. 17

11:47 a.m. Teenagers were driving “sideways” down Fir Avenue.
