The Lady Bulldogs came away with a loss and a win in a pair of lopsided games last week.

On Thursday the team hosted Eureka Lions, who kept them in check after the Dogs won the first quarter.

Eureka won that game 45-20.

Head coach Bob Bolam said he was excited with his team’s fast start, but that fizzled out quick.

After scoring 9 points in the first quarter, it took Whitefish another three quarters to match and pass that with 11 more.

“Early we were fine, I thought we were playing really well. Then they were hitting some shots on us and we couldn’t answer that. Our shooting percentage must’ve been horrible,” Bolam said after the Eureka game. “We did OK on the glass and moving the ball, but man in the long run it was not so good.”

Then on Friday the team traveled down to Polson, where Whitefish blew out the Lady Pirates for their first win of the season, 47-18.

Whitefish dominated the scoring throughout the game, while holding Polson to just single digits in all four quarters of the game.

Following the holiday break, the Lady Bulldogs travel to Libby on Saturday, Jan. 4 to face off against the Loggers. Game time is 5:30 p.m.

Scores unavailable for Eureka game.
