Coco, Garcia first up Big Mountain

Drew Coco was the King of the Mountain and Vonda Garcia was the Queen of the Mountain in the 37th annual Big Mountain Run Saturday.

Coco finished the run with a time of 36:15 earning the fastest time for men, and Garcia finished with a time of 49:20.

Prince was Jacob Henson, 15, with a time of 41:12 and Princess was Madelaine Jellison, 14, with a time of 47:26.

The top dog was Rooster with a time of 72:38.

The race begins at the Danny On Trailhead in the Upper Village near the Hellroaring Saloon and participants run or hike 3.8 miles with 2,434 feet in elevation gain to the summit of Big Mountain.

The annual race is a fundraiser for the Glacier Nordic Club.

For Birthday Club winners, men must beat their age and women must beat their age plus 10 minutes. Birthday Club winners included, Franz Ingelfinger, Jim Cabe, Vonda Garcia, Cynthia Ingelfinger, Casey Deitz, Eric Vardell, Bruce Clements, Stacey Bent, Mike Muldown, Julie Engler and Jodee Yachechak.
