Indie folk-rock group performs Thursday
The Sweet Remains, an indie folk-rock ensemble who is taking the nation by storm with their original songs and smooth harmonies, will play one night only on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
The Whitefish Theatre Company brings the acoustic folk-rock group to the stage.
The Sweet Remains, headed by three gifted singer-songwriters, is a nationally touring, trio. Driven by strong lyrical and melodic writing, their songs easily appeal to fans of modern folk-rockers. However, it is their lush three-part, honey harmonies that distinguish The Sweet Remains from the throngs of guitar-toting troubadours and harken back to super-groups of the 60s and 70s like Crosby, Stills and Nash, the Eagles, and Simon & Garfunkel.
Rich Price, Greg Naughton and Brian Chartrand formed The Sweet Remains in 2008, despite living in three different cities and each having successful solo careers before coming together as a trio.
Now celebrating 12 years together and over 30 million Spotify plays in 2018, The Sweet Remains now find themselves on the brink of national, maybe even international notoriety.
They have produced three studio albums, including “Laurel & Sunset” in 2009, “North & Prospect” in 2013, and “Night Songs” in 2015.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for students with reserved seating, and can be purchased at the Box Office, 1 Central Ave., Whitefish, or by calling 862-5371. Box office hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour before a performance, or at www.whitefishtheatreco.org. This show is sponsored by Roger Barber and Mary Van Buskirk.
