North Valley Hospital has been awarded for a superior performance in organ donation

LifeCenter Northwest, a local procurement organization, recently announced presentation of its Hospital Awards to NVH, along with Kalispell Regional Medical Center The HealthCenter, for their work in 2018.

Honors include:

- KRMC, NVH and HC were three of only 10 hospitals to receive the Tissue Donation Achievement Award, which recognizes hospitals for their dedication to timely referral calls, caring for potential patients, and collaborating with LifeCenter Northwest for tissue donation.

- KRMC was one of only 25 hospitals to receive the Collaboration Achievement Award, which recognizes hospital collaboration on conversations about organ donation with families, ensuring the best possible family experience.

- NVH and HC were two of only 25 hospitals to receive the Tissue Donation Referral Achievement Award, which recognizes hospitals for their consistency in maintaining a high timely referral rate, a testament to their dedication.

Nationally there are more than 114,000 patients waiting for an organ transplant. Because of their dedication to quality care and organ and tissue donation, more lives will be saved and healed.

“It is an honor to work with such dedicated hospital partners,” says LifeCenter Northwest President and CEO, Kevin O’Connor. “We greatly appreciate the contributions they make every day to help save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation.”

LifeCenter Northwest is the federally designated organ procurement organization serving Alaska, Montana, North Idaho, and Washington-the largest geographic donation service area in United States.
