No. 2478 NOTICE OF ANNUAL SCHOOL ELECTION Notice is hereby given by the undersigned Clerk of Whitefish School District No. 44, Flathead County, State of Montana that the Annual School Election will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2019, at the following polling place: Whitefish School District Board Room in the Whitefish Middle School Electors will consider the following issues at the election: - Two (2) Trustee(s) to be elected for a three (3) year term. - Mill levy proposition to finance the school's Elementary General Fund - Mill levy proposition to finance the school's Elementary Technology Fund. - Mill levy proposition to finance the school's High School Technology Fund. - Shall the district be authorized to impose an increase in local taxes to support the general fund in the amount of $50,975 which is approximately 0.9 mills for the purpose of operating the Whitefish Elementary School District for the 2019-20 school year? Passage of this proposal will increase taxes annually on a home with a market value of $100,000 by approximately $1.21 per year and on a home with a market value of $200,000 by approximately $2.43 per year. The durational limit of the levy is permanent once approved by the voters, assuming the district levies that amount at least once in the next five years. - Shall the Whitefish Elementary School District be authorized to levy an additional $Two Hundred Thirty Two Thousand Six Hundred and Two Dollars ($232,602.00) per year for ten (10) years and being approximately 4.10 mills for the purpose of purchasing, renting, repairing and maintaining technological equipment, including computers and computer network access, cloud computing services for technology infrastructure, platform, software, network, storage, security, data, database, test environment curriculum, or desktop virtualization purposes, including any subscription or any license-based or pay-per- use service that is accessed over the internet or other remote network to meet the district's information technology and other needs, and the associated technical training for school district personnel? Passage of this proposal will increase the taxes on a home with a market value of $100,000 by approximately $5.54 per year and on a home with a market value of $200,000 by approximately $11.08 per year. This request is in addition to $Eighty Eight Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Eight Dollars ($88,998.00) previously authorized as a perpetual levy and, if this proposition is approved, will hereby be limited to 10 years. - Shall the Whitefish High School District be authorized to levy an additional $Eighty Two Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty Seven Dollars ($82,887.00) per year for ten (10) years and being approximately 1.41 mills for the purpose of purchasing, renting, repairing and maintaining technological equipment, including computers and computer network access, cloud computing services for technology infrastructure, platform, software, network, storage, security, data, database, test environment curriculum, or desktop virtualization purposes, including any subscription or any license-based or pay-per-use service that is accessed over the internet or other remote network to meet the district's information technology and other needs, and the associated technical training for school district personnel? Passage of this proposal will increase the taxes on a home with a market value of $100,000 by approximately $1.90 per year and on a home with a market value of $200,000 by approximately $3.80 per year. This request is in addition to $Seventy Five Thousand Five Hundred and Thirteen Dollars ($75,513.00) previously authorized as a perpetual levy and, if this proposition is approved, will hereby be limited to 10 years. The polls will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the day of the election. A qualified registered elector who will be unable to go to the polls on the day of election may request an Application for Absentee Voter's Ballot from the school district clerk/election administrator's office located at: Whitefish School District Office, 600 E. 2nd St., Whitefish, Montana If you miss this regular registration deadline (30 days prior to the election), you may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on election day. Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election day, you may complete and submit a voter registration card.
