The Whitefish School Board on Sept. 11 updated its school bus contract with Rocky Mountain Transportation, Inc.

The updated contract raises the district’s payment for bus service from $584,091 to $591,960 for the 2018-2019 school year. The contract runs through the 2021-2022 school year, with terms being renegotiated annually.

The in-town route No. 9 was also cut from 30 to 24 miles a day and now runs west on Edgewood Drive to Colorado Drive.

Two miles were also shaved off the Happy Valley South End route, which is now 36 miles per day.
