The Bulldogs soccer team got an early rematch of last year’s state title match against Belgrade.

This time, Whitefish came out on top.

The Bulldogs took down Belgrade 4-1 Friday in an early season matchup, behind goals from Casey Schneider, Sam Menicke and Xander Burger.

Schneider opened the scoring just five minutes in the match and Menicke added his first goal 10 minutes later to put the Dogs up 2-0 at the half.

Two late goals from Whitefish put them up 4-0, with Belgrade’s Josiah Russell tacking on a goal in the 67th minute to get on the scoreboard.

The Dogs also shut out Livingston 4-0 on Saturday.

Burger, Menicke and Chase Savin led the scoring column, as well as an own goal from Livingston.

This week Whitefish hosts Laurel on Friday and Billings Central the following day.
