Sheri P. Smith Brown Pierce

Sheri P. Smith Brown Pierce, age 66, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at Genises Care Center in Whitefish. Sheri was born Aug. 2, 1952 in Whitefish to Harry and Ethel Smith. Sheri was the seventh of ten children. She graduated high school in Columbia Falls. In 1970 she married Dennis Brown they lived in Whitefish where they raised three children Randy, Rhonda, and Ivy. Sheri and Dennis later divorced.

Sheri married Wayne Pierce and they traveled to different places with various jobs. Sheri’s favorite job was cooking for the 49ers in their summer training camp. She liked being around the football players because they made her “look tiny.” After her husband Wayne passed away she followed her heart and came back to Montana to live. Sheri is survived by her children: Randy Brown (Yvonne), Rhonda Ameline (Scott), and Ivy Redfield (Ron), seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild which she sadly never got a chance to hold, her sisters: Carol Dale (Elton), Patty McMurdo, Pam Brown (Doug), Sandy Clark (Steve Colville), Shelly Smith (Leonard), Brothers: Harry Smith (Peggy), Mike Smith (Julie), many nieces and nephews, special friends: Boss Brousseau, Darcy Morris, and many more people who loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Roger Smith and Don Smith.

A celebration of Sheri’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Whitefish VFW Post 276.

Sheri was a life member of the Whitefish VFW Post 276 Ladies Auxiliary. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you consider making a donation to them.
