World’s Hardest Golf

Tournament

The Annual World’s Hardest golf tournament will take place Saturday after the annual meeting with hole locations and flow of golf course changed to unique positions. It’s possible you may tee off on one hole and play to the green of an entirely different hole. This fun format has attracted a good-sized field each of the last few years so come and enjoy the fun. The playing format is a two-person scramble over nine holes or so.

Course closure schedule

Starting on Monday, Oct. 15 the Woods or front nine of the North Course will close for the season. On Monday, Oct. 22 the North Course will close entirely. The South Course will remain open with Wednesday, Oct. 31 being the last day of golf at WLGC for the season. It has been a good year at the club with playing conditions remaining excellent throughout all 36 holes. Our crew deserves a big thank you for continuing to provide such a quality product for our members and guests. Enjoy the nice days that lie ahead by getting out there and playing a few more rounds.

Alignment issues

Lots of players seem to have trouble aligning shots to the proper target by how they place their feet. To get the right alignment always start by aiming the club face at the target then taking your stance, not the other way around. If you align your feet to the target the club will aimed to the right if you are right handed and to the left for lefties. Alignment rods will help you find the easiest way to aim your shot.
