Monday, Sept. 17

9:48 a.m. The windows of a Baker Avenue business had been broken over the weekend.

12:51 p.m. Someone drew pictures in the dirt on the caller’s parked car.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

6:06 p.m. A woman was accidentally locked inside the library after it closed.

7:44 p.m. A drunk driver nearly hit a group of people with his vehicle and later pulled a knife on them at a location off Highway 93 West.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

3:02 p.m. The caller was mad at a texting driver swerving through Whitefish.

Thursday, Sept. 20

7:24 a.m. A caller saw a black bear in a city dumpster on Fifth Street.

10:50 a.m. A deceased deer needed to be removed from a Montana Avenue home. The caller’s dogs had chased the deer until it ran into a fence and died.

11:14 p.m. Another bear was in a nearby city dumpster, a Sixth Street caller reported.

Friday, Sept. 21

11 a.m. A transient had been staying on the caller’s Karrow Avenue property.

10:07 p.m. A man sleeping in a shed was advised he was trespassing and not welcome there.

7:22 p.m. A Dakota Avenue resident needed help removing the black bear on his lawn.
