Book signing

Photographer Bret Bouda will sign his book “Sperry Chalet” on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. at Whitefish Quilts and Gifts.

Muldown

The Whitefish Schools Family Involvement Team is holding “Coffee & Conversations” on the first Thursday of each month. On Thursday, Oct. 4 the conversation will focus on Muldown Elementary School with Principal Linda Whitright. The event begins at 8:45-9:30 a.m. in the Muldown multi-purpose room.

ESC day

The Whitefish Emergency Services Center will hold an open house on Sunday, Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet local first responders and check out the equipment. There will be live demonstrations including a live burn and extrication. There will be balloons and firehouse hot dogs along with other fun activities.

Pumpkin Patch

Children’s House Montessori School will be holding its 35th annual Pumpkin Patch event on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Roy Duff Memorial Armory. The event includes games and prizes, new and used costumes for sale, a bake sale, soups, face painting, snacks, and hot apple cider. For more information, call 863-4685.

Whitefish Trail Run

The eighth annual Whitefish Trail Legacy Run offers something for everyone — long distances on single track trails and shorter options for families. The run is Sunday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Whitefish Bike Retreat.

A half marathon will explore single-track surrounding Dollar and Little Beaver Lakes, a 10K will loop Murray Lake, a 5k will complete the South Beaver Loop, and a 2-mile family fun run.

The race is made possible by Title Sponsor Whitefish Therapy and Sport Center and Event Sponsors, Hammer Nutrition, Step Ahead Foot and Ankle Clinic, and BNSF Railway. The race is hosted at the Whitefish Bike Retreat, a beautiful facility set on 19 acres. Racers will receive free lunch, craft beer (over 21), custom WT Legacy Run buff, and swag bag.
