The Whitefish Education Foundation’s Family Involvement Team will host its first Parent Education Series of the year on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.

The first installment is titled, “What’s Happening in Our Schools?” and FIT representatives will be available to discuss current events and volunteer opportunities within the team.

Amanda Matdies, Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Whitefish High School, and her baking classes will provide cookies and coffee during the meeting.

The gathering is in appreciation of those who have supported the foundation and FIT during the Whitefish Community Foundation’s Great Fish Challenge, according to a release by FIT.

The Whitefish Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization established exclusively for educational purposes to enhance the quality and scope of educational opportunities for all students of the Whitefish Public Schools. FIT is a subcommittee of the WEF and is comprised of and operates as the former Whitefish PTA. For more information, visit whitefisheducationfoundation.org.
