XC runners compete against the region's best in Boise

Six Whitefish High School cross country runners recently traveled to Boise to compete in the Nike Northwest Regionals.

The girls team placed 20th of 52 in the open classification, with Jade Greenberg (20:20) and Jessica Henson (20:23) cracking the top 100 at 72nd and 84th respectively.

Ella Greenberg took 134th (20:52). Josephine Vardell ran a 22:01 and Paetra Cooke a 23:02 as well.

A total of 462 athletes from eight western states competed in the girls open division.

On the boys side, Miles Vrentas was the lone WHS runner. He took 338th of 711 with an 18:14.
