Police calls: Lazy black bear stops to rest on lawn

Monday, Oct. 29

4:29 p.m. A couple of teenagers were laying beneath a tree and appeared to be “smoking drugs from a bowl.”

6:52 p.m. A black bear was either just laying around or injured on a Colorado Avenue lawn.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

4:59 p.m. A caller was frustrated with the speeding drivers on Reservoir Road.

6:59 p.m. After driving home from a 13th Street business, the caller realized her purse had been stolen.

Wednesday, Oct. 31

12:52 p.m. A Dakota Avenue caller was worried their neighbors’ garbage would attract bears.

9:36 p.m. A loud party was going on at a Second Street location.

Thursday, Nov. 1

11:48 a.m. A lost springer spaniel puppy was dropped off at the station.

1:26 p.m. Someone appeared to have shot a bullet through an apartment wall off Karrow Avenue.

12:10 p.m. A sow and two cubs were in trash cans near a Reservoir Road property.

1:02 p.m. A dog was jumping a fence and chasing passerby on bikes.

9:51 p.m. A caller was worried after the person they were talking to fell asleep during a conversation.

9:52 p.m. A caller on Kinnikinnik Circle was worried about hunters poaching elk after seeing vehicles “scoping out the area.”
