North Valley celebrates Hospital Week

This week is Hospital Week, where hospitals around the country celebrate the role of the hospital in the community, hospital employees, and the individual efforts that each employee makes to offer high level patient care. While this is a week that includes many internal celebrations, the community is our critical partner, so North Valley Hospital is pleased involve our entire community in our Hospital Week celebrations.

Hospital Week at North Valley Hospital

North Valley Hospital employees have a few fun traditions during hospital week. A breakfast event on Thursday morning features build-your-own-yogurt parfaits and takes place early enough for night shift employees that are leaving work and right when many day shift employees are arriving. There is also a barbecue lunch special in the NVH Café on Friday.

The most entertaining internal celebration is a raffle where each department builds a raffle basket — that is sometimes a bit outlandish but always full of great surprises — with a theme, and then employees buy raffle tickets. All proceeds go to the NVH Circle of Friends fund, which helps employees having a difficult time outside of work and may need various forms of support. Raffle baskets bring departments together and feature themes like fitness for fun, outdoor recreation and spa day.

Community Open House at North Valley Hospital

To engage with the community during hospital week, North Valley Hospital is holding a special event this year to welcome our CEO, Kevin Abel. On Thursday, May 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. we will host a Community Open House in the NVH café, with tours, displays, and information throughout the hospital.

This event is to welcome Kevin Abel to the hospital and the community and to invite everyone to come see North Valley Hospital and learn about services and offerings. At this event, you can meet our CEO, leadership, and staff, learn about new services offered at the hospital, find out more about our Planetree philosophy, and learn more about what it means to be a part of Kalispell Regional Healthcare.

Our DaVinci robot will be on display, we’ll have tours of the 3D Mammography machine based on availability, and tours of the hospital to share new information and changes. The Birth Center, surgery department, physical therapy clinic, nurses, and many others will be on hand to talk with community members.

We’re excited to celebrate hospital week with our community and we’re grateful for the consistent support.
