Connie Joann Gage, 72, of Whitefish left us on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 peacefully, surrounded by family.

She was born Nov. 15, 1945 to the late Morris and Eileen (Mitchell) Murphy Schulstad in Bremerton, Washington. She married Richard Gage on May 26, 1978 until his passing in 2014.

Connie lived most of her life in Whitefish and worked at Grouse Mountain Lodge for about 25 years. Connie was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Whitefish and looked forward to attending meetings and going out in service. She loved nature and enjoyed watching and feeding wild birds, deer, and working in her flower beds when she could. She was interested in history and genealogy. She loved fishing and hearing about how her kids and grandkids were doing.

She is survived by her four children, Stoney Shipp, Laurie (Greg) Timmons, Charlie Shipp, and Geri (David) Thamm; her sister Cheryl (Marlo) Dull; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and friends.

Connie was preceded in passing by her husband of 36 years Richard Gage and her brother Larry Murphy.

A memorial will be held on April 21 at 2 p.m. at the Whitefish Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Flathead County Humane Society or to Autismspeaks.org
