Skiers, riders and horses alike all came out to Big Mountain Ranch last weekend for this year’s Whitefish Winter Carnival Ski Joring.

Events took place over Saturday and Sunday on the new “J” track, which featured more jumps and ways to score points than the previous years’ “U” shape.

Colin Cook, pulled by Richard Weber III and “Fly Boy,” took first overall in the open division with a combined two-day time of 36.69.

In the sport division, Chris Lambert was pulled to first place by Roddy Gadeberg and “Bullwinkle.” Their combined time was 38.48.

And in the novice division, Kriston Houje, riding “River,” pulled Aaron Oberlitner to the finish with a combined time of 37.71 for first place.
