City Council roundup
Whitefish City Council, on Jan. 16:
- Approved an application from Eighth Street LLC for a conditional use permit to convert an existing building into a professional office and develop a triplex located at 144 West Second Street.
- Approved an ordinance rezoning about .4 acres of land located east of 325 Haugen Heights Road from unzoned to estate residential.
- Approved a resolution for a license agreement with Gold Creek Cellular for a new rooftop antenna, equipment building and related radio equipment at the Emergency Services Center. The company will be paying the city an annual lease of $18,000 to house the equipment on its property.
- Approved an ordinance amending the guidelines for the impact fee advisory committee. The impact fee committee consists of five members, one of which was previously required to be a certified public accountant. A change in state law removed that requirement and so the city updated its ordinance stating that the position would be a member-at-large.
- Approved awarding a contract with FCS Group for up to $44,000 for performing a study for the city’s impact fees.
- Approved a resolution adopting a revised and reformatted investment policy that brings the city’s policy into compliance with state law.
