Ring leads swimmers at Missoula Invite

Whitefish swimmers had some standout performances against high level schools Saturday at the Missoula Invite.

The day was headlined by a first place finish by Preston Ring in the 50 yard freestyle (23.13) and a fifth place in the 200 yard freestyle by Annie Sullivan (2:10.87).

Ring also finished sixth in the 100 yard backstroke (59.27).

Overall, the boys finished ninth and the girls 10th in the meet that included Class AA schools.

This week the team is preparing for the Butte Invite, which starts at noon on Saturday.

The Butte meet is the last before the State Swim Meet on Feb. 9 and 10.
