| February 20, 2018 1:42 PM

The Whitefish Theatre Co. is holding auditions for the spring production of “The Great Gatsby,” a cabaret-style production that will be performed in April.

Auditions will take place on Feb. 26 and 27 at 6 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. The north door at the back of the O’Shaughnessy Center will open at 5:30 p.m. for those wanting to fill out an audition application early and review the audition selections.

Based on the classic book by F. Scott Fitzgerald, “The Great Gatsby” is a fable of America, the Jazz Age, enchantment and illusions, and a world where love and dreams are pursued and betrayed.

The cast will be composed of four men and three women, ages 20s to late 40s, in addition to several additional men and women, ages 20s to 60s, to be in the ensemble.

No experience is necessary to audition and no preparation is required. Pages from the script will be provided.

Jesse DeVine is the director for this production. Rehearsals will begin in early March and will be held Monday through Friday at the O’Shaughnessy Center from 6-9 p.m. There are seven performances on April 19-22 and April 26-28.
