Patricia A. MacDonald

Patricia A. MacDonald, 84, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at Townsend Park following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. MacDonald was born Feb. 15, 1933, daughter of the late James and Norma LaPlante. She was born in Helena, Montana, but grew up in Whitefish. She loved to watch football and basketball and her hobbies were reading and listening to her Kindle playing old songs from the 40s and 50s.

Survivors include her husband, John W. MacDonald; her children, Teri Canning, James MacDonald, Michael MacDonald; grandchildren, Shane Canning, Jonathan Canning, Steven Canning Jr, Ashley Canning, Zachary Canning, Nina MacDonald, Christina MacDonald, Daniel MacDonald, Michael MacDonald Jr, Adam Kapavia, Sam Kapavia and Stephanie Spooner.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Owen Funeral home.
