WTC holds auditions for 'Every Brilliant Thing' Sept. 6
The Whitefish Theatre Co. is holding auditions for “Every Brilliant Thing” on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
The north door at the back of the O’Shaughnessy Center will open at 6:30 p.m. for those wanting to fill out an audition application early and review the audition selections.
Ice cream, water fights, things with stripes and rollercoasters — these are just a few items on a list of things worth living for compiled by a young girl (or boy) trying to ease her mother’s depression at the start of Duncan Macmillian’s charming and the miraculous new play. Through adulthood, she learns the deep significance that the ever-expanding list has on her own life, as she goes to college, falls in love, and builds a home. The play is a testament to the power of storytelling as it enlists members of the audience to help tell its story in this immersive experience.
This play is a one-person show. This one actor can be a female or male, ages late 20s and older. No experience or preparation is necessary to audition.
Nancy Nei is the director of this production. As a Black Curtain show, the actor will remain on book during performances and there will be minimal costumes and set. Rehearsals will begin the week of Sept. 9 with one tech night on Sept. 21. There are two performances over one weekend on Sept. 22 and 23.
