Wine and Food Fest benefits sports, theatre
The annual Project Whitefish Wine and Food Fest wine tasting, food festival and auction is set for Wednesday, May 2.
This year’s event, themed the Rocky Mountain Rendezvous with a Kentucky Derby twist, will be held at Grouse Mountain Lodge on from 6–9 p.m. All proceeds from this benefit go to Project Whitefish Kids, the organization that maintains the Smith Fields Sports Complex for several sports teams, and the Whitefish Theatre Company.
The food is a fine sampling of cuisines from local restaurants including The Grill at Grouse, Latitude 48, Zucca, Last Chair Kitchen & Bar, Tea Kettle Café, Fleur Bake Shop and Whitefish Lake Restaurant. Fun Beverage will provide a selection of wines and introduce new varieties for the tasters to sample. Montana Coffee Traders will supply coffee and craft beer will be provided by the Great Northern Brewing Co.
A silent and live auction highlights the evening. Auction items include original art, a wireless speaker system, custom-made gourmet dinners, lodging and Golden Knights tickets in Las Vegas, golfing extravaganzas, sporting equipment, wine, restaurant gift certificates, health and pampering specials, theatre tickets, a quarter of a cow, garden and home decorating packages and outdoor adventure events.
Tickets are $70 per person and include all food and beverages. An entire table for 10 is $700 or sponsor a table for $300 that comes with four tickets.
