The Whitefish Community Foundation lat week announced the 50 nonprofits that will participate in this year’s Great Fish Community Challenge.

The challenge began in 2015 to help raise critical program funding for the participating organizations. In the last three years, it has raised more than $4.5 million for more than 50 nonprofit organizations.

More than 1,500 donors have participated in the challenge.

Whitefish Community Foundation will launch the Great Fish Community Challenge on Thursday, July 26 with a Launch Party at The Wave Aquatic and Fitness Center. Donors are encouraged to attend and give their favorite nonprofits a chance to win the instant grant drawings, while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

The community foundation organizes the Great Fish Community Challenge and provides the matching funds to inspire the community to give. The challenge runs seven weeks and culminates with a Community Celebration Sept. 8 at Depot Park with the Great Fish Community Challenge Color Run and Community Celebration.
