The Bulldog golf team picked up right where they left off Monday after smoke and air quality canceled last week’s matchup against Libby.

The Whitefish girls took first overall at the Polson Invitational at Polson Bay Golf Club.

Senior Gracie Young finished third with a 95, behind Courtney Ockler of Frenchtown (87) and Brooklyn Olson of Ronan (93). Ella Shaw took fifth with a 105.

The team finished with an overall score of 426. Polson came in second with 440.

The boys finished third behind Polson and Stevensville.

Drew Brozek tied for ninth with an 84. Jayce Cripe came in at 11 with an 87, and Cameron Kahle finished in a tie for 14th with a 91.

Libby’s Ryggs Johnston grabbed another first by posting a 63.

Whitefish is slated to take on Frenchtown today and tomorrow at the Ranch Club and King Ranch in Missoula and Frenchtown.

They’ll head to Hamilton on Saturday to wrap up the regular season schedule before preparing for the Western A Divisional Tournament the following Wednesday.

That will also be played in Hamilton.
